Day 1: Nare Muru Gate to Simba Camp (7 km | 3-4 hrs | Rainforest)

Drive from Moshi/Arusha to the Kilimanjaro Gate, then trek through lush rainforest to Simba Camp, with views of the Kenyan plains.

Day 2: Simba Camp to Second Cave Camp (5.8 km | 5-6 hrs | Moorland)

Ascend through moorland, enjoying views of Kibo and the ice fields.

Day 4: Kikelewa Camp to Mawenzi Tarn (3.75 km | 3-4 hrs | Semi Desert)

Climb to Mawenzi Tarn beneath Mawenzi peaks for acclimatization.

Day 5: Mawenzi Tarn to Kibo Hut (8.9 km | 4-5 hrs | Alpine Desert)

Cross the saddle to Kibo, preparing for summit night.

Summit to Uhuru Peak, then descend to Horombo Huts.
